DAN GENTRY | APPLICATIONS ENGINEER

Dan Gentry is an Applications Engineer based in La Crosse, Wisconsin. He joined Trane in 2018 after eight years at another local Wisconsin based chiller manufacturer. Dan first interned at Trane in the Technology Lab while attending school through 2008. His areas of expertise revolve around chiller plants, heat recovery and heat pump systems and their reliable and efficient design and operation.

Dan graduated from Ferris State University in 2011 with a Bachelor’s Degree in HVAC Engineering Technology and is an active member of ASHRAE. Dan enjoys spending time with his family on the river and relaxing at the family cabin up north. 

SARAH HILDEN | APPLICATIONS ENGINEER

SARAH HILDEN | APPLICATIONS ENGINEER

Sarah joined Trane in 2015 as a Customer Direct Services (CDS) marketing engineer and later as a Senior Building Performance and Systems Engineer. As a CDS engineer, Sarah led a cross functional development team focused on TRACE™ 3D Plus along with support and training for users of CDS products globally. Before joining Trane, Sarah worked as a hardware design engineer for a telecom OEM and as a hardware and firmware engineer for an HVAC sensor manufacturer. Sarah graduated from North Dakota State University in her hometown of Fargo, ND with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.

Sarah’s current focus−as an Applications Engineer−is on chilled- and hot-water systems and advanced energy modelling. She has been involved with the La Crosse Area Chapter of ASHRAE® as newsletter editor, member-at-large on the Board of Governors and local committees over the years.

ESTI TIERNEY | CHILLER PRODUCT SUPPORT

Esti currently serves as a Marketing Engineer for the Centrifugal Product Support Team at Trane, though has been in the industry for over fifteen years. She attended Colorado State University as an undergraduate and later obtained her MBA from UW-La Crosse. She is particularly interested in the energy efficiency movement within the HVAC industry and is excited about Trane’s involvement with sustainability and the commitment to carbon reduction.

Esti lives in the La Crosse area with her husband, Mark, and two children. She enjoys hiking and spending time outdoors. Esti is also active in the community, currently serving on the board for GROW La Crosse, an organization focused on children and families’ connections to healthy food, and participates in Trane’s STEM program for children at the local Boys & Girls Clubs.
