John Sustar
Systems Commercialization Leader
John has 15 years of experience in the HVAC industry and has a background in energy modeling, electrical and mechanical systems, and chilled water design. As a HVAC systems commercialization leader, he is responsible for developing and executing the commercial systems strategy at Trane—working cross-functionally with applications and systems engineering, sales, and marketing.
John lives in La Crosse, WI and holds a M.S. in Building Systems Engineering from the University of Colorado-Boulder and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of St. Thomas (MN).

Daryl Keys
Systems Development Engineer
Daryl is a lead engineer in the HVAC Systems Development team for Trane North America. Based out of La Crosse, WI his responsibilities include the design, development, and commercialization of system-based building solutions. These include not only current industry wide systems, but as well as emerging systems.
Daryl has been with Trane for over 15 years. Most of that time with the new product development groups focused on screw and scroll compressor driven units. Prior to joining Trane, Daryl worked for 10 years in the automotive industry designing engine cooling and climate control systems for an automotive OEM in the Detroit, MI area.
Daryl spends his time outside of work with his wife (Colleen) and teenaged daughter (Avery). Interests include auto mechanics, car restoration, woodworking, and home improvement. Daryl volunteers his time coaching his daughter’s hockey and softball teams.

Mike Filler
Sustainable Systems Sales Leader
Mike Filler is a Regional Sustainable Systems Sales Leader with Trane Technologies, based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. In this role, he supports Trane account managers and their customers with several subject areas: including decarbonization, thermal storage, heat recovery, heat pumps & refrigerants.
Mike has decades of experience with chilled water, thermal storage and heat recovery products & applications. He also has experience with energy modeling of high-performance HVAC systems. Mike volunteers with ASHRAE technical committees and his local chapter Board of Governors. He holds a PE license in Colorado and is ASHRAE Certified as a High-performance Building Design Professional (HBDP) and a Certified Decarbonization Professional (CDP).
